Well, what's in a signature is one gets to show off! Yes, the signature painting for our annual art show (our 21st) is the piece that graces the lovely, real wood easel at the door of the ballroom which is hung with about 200 paintings. It's the piece that is printed upon the cover of the brochure, post cards, posters, etc. It goes into any paper, periodical, internet site that we can advertise in with the information about our sale of art.
So well...I missed the deadline to enter the competition this year. I think that's a first. We had a mishap with the selection this time though and have to do it again tomorrow. Yay! Tony Natsoulas is coming to be the judge and I have to remember to get a painting over there by 9am or so.
The only piece I have is a workshop painting I did with LeeAnn Brooks. It's on canvas paper so I've got it under books right now trying to straighten it out enough to glue it onto a piece of foamcore so that it will stand against the wall and be suitable for framing.
