So I received a prospectus from Blue Line Gallery for a show entitled The Art of Movement. I guessed movement should be in the work either by moving the paint so that the viewer feels the movement or the subject matter is moving. This art will be shown in the secondary gallery. The primary gallery will be filled with the work of Jim Piskoti's paintings, his work combines traditional painting with motorized movement (www.jimpiskoti.com).
To date, there has been no movement in my work that I can remember anyway. It is an art avenue I have stayed away from because I consider it very difficult. With these thoughts in mind, I made the decision to begin a movement painting.
I ended up with two pieces, and submitted them both for possible inclusion in this show. I will be notified by August 4th, yay or nay.
